11TH GLOBAL PROCUREMENT CONFERENCE

7 - 8 July 2026

ABOUT | GPC 2026

The University of Rome Tor Vergata, in collaboration with the School of Economics, has launched the 11th Global Procurement Conference, which will take place live on July 7th and 8th at the prestigious, Villa Mondragone, a patrician villa located in the evocative area of the Alban Hills, known as Castelli Romani (approximately 20 km southeast of Rome) for its many castles and villas.

The conference will be held exclusively in presence. No online sessions are scheduled.

The aim of the Global Procurement Conference is to raise awareness of the global implications of joint decisions regarding what is purchased, how, and for whom in the public domain.

Each year, the University of Rome Tor Vergata is pleased to organize an event that brings together experts from International Financial Institutions and regulatory bodies, policy-makers, economists, engineers, lawyers, and procurement professionals to foster an essential debate on innovation, competitiveness, sustainability, and regulation in public procurement worldwide.

A History of Professional Advancement in Procurement at Tor Vergata

The University of Rome Tor Vergata is a recognized center of excellence in procurement education, consultancy, and research. Seventeen years ago, the Master in Procurement Management introduced an innovative interdisciplinary framework by integrating law, economics, and engineering into the professional training of procurement specialists, with the aim of developing highly qualified professionals.

Building on this foundation, the International Master in Public Procurement Management (IMPPM) was launched in 2012 with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Italian government. To date, more than 300 public procurement professionals from around the world have participated in the four-month residential program in Rome, attending courses delivered by distinguished academics and leading practitioners, including experts from International Financial Institutions.
